Dyson Vacuum Cleaners

James DysonThe Dyson vacuum cleaner was invented by Sir James Dyson in the late 1970s. Dyson came up with the idea of using cyclonic separation to create a vacuum cleaner that wouldn't lose suction as it picked up dirt. Dyson spent five years creating many prototypes Dyson launched the first Dyson vacuum the G-Force cleaner in 1983. No UK distributor would launch the Dyson vacuum cleaners as they didn’t want to lose out in the vacuum cleaner bag market. This lead Dyson to launch his Dyson Vacuums in Japan instead. The bright Pink Dyson G-Force sold for £2000.00. The Dyson Vacuum won the International Design Fair prize in Japan and Dyson obtained US patent on the idea in 1986.

Dyson still couldn’t get a UK manufacture to manufacture the Dyson vacuum cleaner so he set up his own manufacturing company in 1993 and opened a factory in Wiltshire.

The Dyson vacuum cleaner went on to be a UK best seller and out sells most of the manufacturers who turned down his idea. In 2005 the Dyson Vacuum became a market leader in the US.

The Dyson Dual Cyclone became the fastest selling vacuum cleaner ever to be made in the UK.

In 2003 Dyson applied his "dual cyclone" technology into a new kind of washing machine. The Dyson washing machine is bright pink and purple Dyson, rather than the traditional white, grey or black of most other machines. The Dyson washing machine didn’t really take off with.

There is now a huge range of Dyson vacuum cleaners to choose from, some of the most popular are the Dyson DC17, Dyson animal, Dyson DC14 and the Dyson DC 15.
